Ventilation

Vents are designed to circulate air throughout your building by installing roof turbine vents you are reducing a possibility of condensation in your building.

Roof vents come in 2 parts:

The first part is the vent adaptor, which is specifically designed to attach to the special configuration of your building (see diagram below).

The second part is a turbine vent which attaches to the top of the vent adaptor (see illustration below).

To install turbine vent adaptors on Q or S models buildings, you locate the center of the building and mark your vent adaptor collar as illustration shows below.

Remove vent adaptor, drilling a pilot hole, then cut out around marked area on both sides of rib. Important: Do not cut out ribs.

Caulk the bottom of the vent adaptor with clear silicon caulking. Place vent adaptor over the hole you just cut. Drill a hole on top of vent adaptor on both sides of the hole using bolts supplied with your building. Then tighten the adaptor down. This should secure the vent adaptor.

For a more secure fit, drill four corners and insert bolts. Then attach the interior braced turbine vent on top of the vent adaptor with self tapping screws.

To install turbine vents in A model building, use same procedure as above except do not install on peak panel in center of the arch. Vent must be installed on straight roof panel.
