Strapping
Strapping
is supplied with your building and must be used to maintain a 24" center
to center. Three of these straps should be bolted into the arches, one on
each side and one at the peak as the construction proceeds. (See illustration
below.)

The
arch strapping for your building is approximately 1 ?" x 1 ?" right angled
steel that comes in lengths of 6 or 10 feet. The arch strapping is essential
for keeping your building and end walls the proper length and height during
construction.
A-Model
buildings:
After standing the first and second arches, it will be time to start strapping
your building. Your strapping should be placed in the center of the eve panel,
which is the 7th bolt. Now place strapping #2 in top center of the building.
As you proceed to stand individual arches, you will continue to add strapping.

S-Model buildings:
The S model is the same procedure as the A model building but the eave panel
for the S model is longer, and your center of the eave will be the 9th bolt
hole.
Q-Model buildings:
On the Q model buildings you will place the arch strapping 7' up from the
footer. End walls are strapped the same strapping as the building except that
the strapping is placed on 18" centers and 7' up from the footer. Important
note: US Buildings highly recommends that you leave the strapping on the arches
after completing to construction of the building and the building has been
grouted.
If you wish to remove the strapping from your building it is mandatory that
you leave the arch strapping on the 1st through 5th arches depending on the
length of the strapping that was supplied with your building. The purpose
of this is to protect your ends and first few arches from heavy winds.

You are supplied with 6 to 8 pieces of strapping. You must move it foward
during construction to keep the building on 2 foot centers. After construction
place 3 pieces of srapping on each end of the building as shown above.
TIP:
If you live in a heavy snow area, we recommend that you leave the strapping
on your building!
