Approximately a week or two prior to delivery, you will be receiving a call
from the dispatching department to set up the time that your building will
be leaving the factory.
US Buildings will call you
again the day that it is leaving the factory to let you know approximately
when the driver will arrive in your town. The driver will usually call you
about a day before he arrives for exact directions.
If you are ready for delivery
before your scheduled delivery date, please call the dispatching department
at 800-463-6062 to schedule your building
on the next truck coming your way.
At the time of delivery,
you must have a money order or cashiers check made payable to US Buildings
for the balance due on your building. If you have been approved for financing
or if your building has been paid in full, please disregard.
You are responsible for unloading! When your new US Building is delivered
it will arrive on a pallet that is approximately 2' wide x 10' long by 3'
high. If you have end walls, the end wall pallet will be 2' wide by 13' long
and approximately 1' tall. Your building will arrive to your town on an 80'
flat bed tractor-trailer. Most customers will arrange the unloading of their
building at a local hardware store or block company that has a forklift available
so the building can be set on to a smaller vehicle or trailer. This will enable
you to deliver your building directly to your job site.



Off loading with equipment:
Forklifts are preferable, however, a tractor or backhoe will
be sufficient depending on the weight of the pallet. The usual
weight of an arch pallet is approximately 4500 lbs. If you
are unsure about equipment, please give us a call and we will
advise you accordingly. When unloading with equipment you
can also arrange to meet the driver at a large parking lot
closer to your location.
Checking Parts:
Have truck driver note on freight bill any shortages, damage to parts.
Items Short Shipped will be shipped automatically when received by manufacturer.
AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY THE FOLLOWING DECAL WILL BE ATTACHED TO THE PALLETS
YOU RECEIVE. (See following illustration)
PAYING YOUR C.O.D.:

Storage Recommendations:
Your building and its components were inspected thoroughly before it left
the factory. If you must store your building before you begin construction,
the following guidelines from the steel manufacturer should be followed.

The steel mill recommends for long term storage that you store
your building in a dry well ventilated area and separate the panels using
small pieces of wood so that there is air flow between each piece. Never allow
moisture to remain on or between any steel panels before construction. If
this does happen you might get black stains on individual panels; however,
these stains are cosmetic only and will not cause structural damage to your
panels.
